Schluchseewerk AG is the operator of five pumped storage facilities in the southern Black Forest in Baden-Württemberg. The head office is in Laufenburg, Germany. Application

Schluchseewerk AG is renovating the Eggberg Basin for around 9 million euros. For this purpose, the basin, which has a capacity of 2.1 million cubic meters of water, was first emptied. The cavern power station, the first German cavern-style pumped storage power plant, went into operation in 1967. Among other things, the pressure shaft was provided with new corrosion protection, and the ropes leading into the 430 m deep shaft were cleaned and relubricated. Previously, these ropes had been lubricated by hand.
