Customer Profile
Ensign Well Service run work-over rigs in the Denver Julesburg basin, as well as, Northern and Southern California. They also do various trucking operations. They have been an LE customer since 1986.
Application
Ensign Well Service operates a winch/haul truck with a CAT 3406 engine. This machine is used for hauling water/ equipment from rig locations. This vehicle runs in a dirty, harsh environment. It is exposed to high heat and extreme cold.
Challenge
The truck containing the CAT 3406 was purchased in 2003. Bob Koelzer, shop foreman, has been a strong believer in LE products for quite some time. This was an expensive piece of equipment that needed a high-quality engine oil.
