Challenge
While using a commercial grade transmission fluid, they were experiencing over heating, deteriorating clutches, foaming and massive transmission failures. They were losing 12 to 14 transmissions a year.
LE Solution
The local LE lubrication consultant, recommended Monolec® Power Fluid (7500) to be used for the Allison transmissions in the trucks. Formulated for combination hydraulic-gear systems and certain hydraulic transmissions, 7500 contains Monolec®, LE’s exclusive wear-reducing additive. It is non-foaming in service and rejects water. Monolec 7500 exceeds requirements for Allison C-4.
Results
Since converting to Monolec 7500, Michiana Recycling & Disposal has significantly reduced their transmission issues, saving $60,000 annually.
