Challenge

A Ford F250 pickup experienced transmission fluid degradation after 10,000 miles due to extreme environmental conditions and varied driving terrains, including highways and construction sites, operating from 6:30 am to 4:00 pm on weekdays.

LE solution

Monolec® Power Fluid (7500) is a nonfoaming lubricant that effectively rejects water and includes Monolec, an exclusive additive designed to reduce wear.

Results

Monolec 7500, installed at 55,000 miles in a Ford F250, reduced transmission temperatures and lasted until 210,000 miles without issues, with mechanic Doug Martin endorsing LE’s products as the best on the market.

LE has the best products on the market. I recommend them to all I come in contact with.

Challenge

One Ford F250 pickup was having a problem with “cooking” the commercial transmission fluid at about 10,000 miles. The fluid was black, smelly and totally spent. These trucks operate in environmental temperatures ranging from -20°F (-28.9°C) to 100°F+ (37.8°C+) in the summer. The driving conditions range from high speed highway driving to off-road driving to construction sites. These sites usually are a combination of dust, mud and salt water. The fleet is in operation from 6:30 am to 4:00 pm five days a week.

LE Solution

The local LE lubrication consultant recommended Monolec® Power Fluid (7500), which is nonfoaming and rejects water. It also contains Monolec, LE’s exclusive wear-reducing additive.

Results

At 55,000 miles, Monolec 7500 was installed in the Ford F250 pickup. The temperatures of the transmission was reduced and at 210,000 miles, this transmission is only on its second fill with Monolec 7500, and has required no rebuild or experienced any problems. Doug Martin, mechanic, states, “LE has the best products on the market. I recommend them to all I come in contact with.”
