Results

Monolec 6402 lubricant has enabled compressors to run over 300,000 hours without major rebuilds since 1973, impressing Sullair representatives and maintaining performance with annual oil drains of approximately 8,500 hours.

We’ve used LE for 35 years, we’re 100% LE. There is no better oil available.

LE Solution

Monolec® R & O Compressor / Turbine Oil (6402) was recommended by the local LE lubrication consultant. Monolec 6402 is for reciprocating and rotary compressors, steam-turbo generators, smaller industrial turbines, vacuum pumps, gear and bearing applications and circulating systems. It contains Monolec®, LE’s exclusive wear-reducing additive and it offers excellent oxidation resistance. Monolec 6402 separates readily from water, protects against corrosive wear and is nonfoaming and long lasting in service.

Results

Monolec 6402 was installed when the compressors were brand new, no other lubricant has ever been used.

The compressors ran 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from 1973 to 1986. Since then they have been alternating in service. Both compressors have logged over 300,000 hours without a major rebuild. The seal on the screw housing is still unbroken. Sullair representatives have stopped by to try and sell them new compressors and were amazed at the hours on the compressors.

Oil drains are set at one year, approximately 8,500 hours.

Derek Henkowski stated, “We’ve used LE for 35 years, we’re 100% LE. There is no better oil available.”
