LE Solution
Lincoln Public School’s tried LE’s 3752 Lubricant ALMAGARD Vari-Purpose based on a from another LE customer. 3752 is a multi- functional, (EP) lubricant intended for extended service under extreme conditions. It is also very tacky and will not pound out.
Results
The fan shaft on the Thomas buses is about 10” long and has two u- joints. Because of the speed, the grease was being slung out and the U-joints failed on a regular basis. Since installing 3752, U-joint failure has been eliminated.
In addition, the failure rate of the king pins has been reduced to only one a year. The customer commented, “The grease stays put. We use it on all 130 buses as well as the 140 pick-ups and vans.”
