The customer faced persistent fan issues at 110°C (230°F) despite testing various high-end lubricants, which failed to solve the problem.
LE’s Almasol® High Temperature Lubricant (1250) offers superior protection and performance in high-temperature environments by reducing wear, minimizing friction, and resisting acid attacks, thanks to its unique Almasol additive.
Almasol 1250 has effectively prevented damage to high-temperature fans since April 2003, leading the company to recommend it to several German manufacturers by March 2011.
This long-time LE customer is a leading carbon fiber manufacturer.
Eliminate damage to high-temperature fans
The customer experienced significant problems with its fans due to the high operating temperatures of 110°C (230°F). They had already tested some competitive high-end lubricants, but these did not resolve the issues.
An LE representative recommended LE’s Almasol® High Temperature Lubricant (1250), which was designed for use when a high-temperature grease is required. It contains Almasol, LE’s exclusive wear-reducing additive, which attaches itself to metal surfaces in a single microscopic layer, yet will not build on itself or affect clearances. It possesses tremendous load-carrying capacity, is impervious to acid attack, and minimizes metal-to-metal contact and the resulting friction and wear. When added to LE lubricants, it provides a level of protection available with no other lubricant.
The customer began using Almasol 1250 in April 2003, and – as of March 2011 – had experienced no more damage to its high- temperature fans. Due to the impressive performance results of Almasol 1250, the company has recommended it to several German manufacturers for use in their fans.
